Galata Audit is a KGK-licensed independent audit firm, founded in 2013 by partners with more than thirty years of professional experience.

Story

For many years our partners practised independently as sworn financial advisors, certified public accountants, auditors and academics. When the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 introduced the current statutory audit regime, they decided to bring their work in company law, financial reporting, independent audit and internal control under one firm.

Behind that decision was the demand for more reliable financial information created by a globalising economy, fast-changing legislation and sharper competition. Galata Global Bağımsız Denetim ve Danışmanlık A.Ş. was founded to meet it, and was licensed for independent audit by the Public Oversight Authority (KGK) in 2014.

Our office is on İstiklal Avenue, in the Galata district that gives us our name.

Quality and independence

The firm operates a quality control system in line with KGK regulations. Independence is assessed before every engagement, and audit files are reviewed under the system run by our partner responsible for quality control.
